Spinners & Props: Bf 109 vs Bf 110
 
Hi all; was wondering if anyone knew if the spinner and prop for the Bf 109E was the same (dimension? interchangeable?) size as the prop and spinner from the Bf 110C/D/E? My archives are not extensive enough to compare part numbers, was hoping someone else might know (or be able to check) this one. Thanks! Paul Straney

Spinners yes, props no.

The DB601 that was on BF110's was geared to a different engine ratio than the bf109. The bf110 had larger propellers.

The spinners were the same...although I think the 110/109e style spinner was capped off sometimes.

However, some of the late war 109 (G10, K4) etc did use the same propellers as the 210/410.

spinner part number for bf109 was 9-11081.30,for me110 9-11023.31 indicating difference

Interesting snautzer, I appreciate that. Is the info from an ersatzteillelist? What models were you comparing?

There must be some differences for it to have a different part no...I am still fairly certain that the spinners are fundamentally the same...am happy to learning more, be corrected.
