German claim in Sworbe area (Ösel) 18.Nov.44
 

Hello friends,

According to Heeres documents, German fighters claimed 1 a/c in Sworbe area (Ösel) on 18.Nov.44 . It is absent in the well-known Tony Woods list.

Almost certainly it is claim of I./JG54 or II./JG54. Who knows the claim's data (pilot, time, location, type of downed a/c etc)?

II./JG54 made two claims, both Pe-2's at 3200 metres, the first was the 26th of Lt Karl Thaler at 1208 hrs 35th South of Goldingen, and the second was the 7th Of Obfhr Karl Wick at 1210 hrs in almost the same place!

I know these claims but they far from Sworbe.

According to Luftlageberichte Flivo AOK16, 18.Nov.44 fighters of Luftflotte 1 made 9 claims (2 in Vainode area, 6 in Schrunden area and 1 in Sworbe area).

In Tony Woods's list only 2 claims by fighters in Luftflotte 1 area. So his list for that time is certainly incomplete, and question remains.
