Werner Cetto
Morning fellow enthusiasts
would anybody know anything about this low-ranking, reasonably successful pilot?, I can find no loss for him, yet his claims end abrupty on 3rd September 1943. His Date of Birth , and death would be much appreciated. These are his claims, the first five as a Ogefr, the rest as an Unteroffizier:- 10th July 1942 7./JG 3 Boston Vorenezh 0430 hrs 3000 metres Nr.1 3rd August 1942 III./JG 3 LaGG-3 East of Kalatsch 0700 hrs bodennahe Nr.2 5th September 1942 9./JG 3 LaGG-3 6km East of Stalingrad 0607 hrs 2500 metres Nr.3 8th September 1942 9./JG 3 Il-2 1km south West of Satow 1655 hrs 0200 hrs Nr.4 10th September 1942 9./JG 3 LaGG-3 21km West of Stalingrad 0618 hrs 100 metres Nr.5 17th December 1942 9./JG 3 P-40 2km South of Perchasowskaja 0900 hrs 1200 metres Nr.6 18th December 1942 9./JG 3 Il-2 Perlazowsky 0832 hrs tief Nr.7 12th March 1943 9./JG 3 LaGG-3 1015 hrs 500 meters Nr.8 6th May 1943 9./JG 3 LaGG-3 1826 hrs a.s.m 500 metres Nr.9 7th May 1943 9./JG 3 LaGG-3 South-West of Malo Tschistjakowo 1426 hrs 1200 metres Nr.10 3rd September 1943 12./JG 3 B-24 1355 hrs 3700 metres Nr.11 Hard to figure this guy out, too low-ranking to take-up a training post I would have thought, perhaps he transferred to some obscure experimental unit, or I have missed him in the losses? Grateful for any help. Kind Regards Johannes |
