Question about when I./NJG3 began combat operations during late 1940-early 1941
 

Hello,

I'm trying to do prospective profile layouts for Bf110 units, and need to know when I./NJG 3, which was formed around the remnants of V.(Z)/LG1 on Oct. 7, 1940, actually became operational and began combat operations. Does anyone know when the unit actually started flying its first intercept missions, as opposed to forming, receiving equipment (Bf110s) and conducting training?

If the unit or parts of it began operations before the end of 1940, I need to include it in the EoE Project, and will need to locate photos of unit aircraft. I have copies of what is in Ludwig Eimannsberger's book on the subject.

Thanx for any help on the subject from the night fighter experts on this board.
