losses over the Aegean
 
Hello all,

i got some new reports about the loss of two and damages of 11 seaplanes damaged in Prevesa at the Ionian sea on the 27.05.43.
At the same day 1 Arado and 1 Ju 52 were lost near Milos.

Any more infos?

Looking through QM's returns I have these two not certain about the whether they are the one you seek because of the date:-

Report dated 1-6-43 has On 29-5-43 Ar196 wn 298 of 1/126 notlandung following enemy fire by Kythnos Ff Lt Josef Muller +

Report dated 8-6-43 has on 29-5-42 Ju52 wn 7103 of Lufttransp.St. See fell to Zerstorerbeschuss (Beaufighter or ship ?) on flight Milos to Athens. Ff unwounded, 1 Fluggaste (Marine) dead, Bf Uffz Grah, Bm Uffz Scholz and Bs Uffz Toth all wounded,

Just a follow up on Ar196 no.298 Luft.QMs report dated 22-9-43 has that on 19-9-43 Ar196 no.298 coded D1+IH was shot down by flak from an Italian ship while on flight Kaphallonia to Korfu. Ff Ofw Willi Gerwins and B Ofw Theodor Harings are shown as missing which is changed to 'gefallen' in the amendments dated 4-10-43,

Thank you. But what about the losses in Prevesa? I never heard about a "Fliegerhorst See" at this town. Which unit could that be? Not a thing is mentioned in QM's returns about this incident.
