Feldpostnummer 40051 - what unit?
 

Anybody happen to know what unit had Feldpostnummer 40051? This is stamped in the FB I'm working through, but doesn't agree with the number given by Rosch. I believe it may be JFS 3, perhaps 1 Sta. Per the FB, the unit was based at Fl.Pl. Grove in June-July-August 1941.

Is there an online resource for the Feldpost numbers?

Thanks Larry. Very much appreciated. Do you if there is resource for these online? Rosch's book, for all the wealth of information it contains, if the FPN is known and unit is unknown, can be a bear to go through.

Jim - go to this site and find the third entry block from the bottom labeled: "oder Nummer eines Nummernstempels". In that small entry block, enter the 5-digit Feldpostnummer and click on "search".

I do not use this myself as I have Kannappin. Someone told me that the Stempel-datenbank has almost all of the FpNs but that there are some missing in the 60000 and above range.
