Gottfried Lannewers, St.G. 77
 

Hello,

Does anybody know if there are books that tell more about Gottfried Lannewers (St.G. 77, SG 77, SG 151; see http://www.ww2awards.com/person/24406 for some additional information).

He had over 500 combat missions in Ju 87s.

Thanks a lot for the info! That sounds as he was more than lucky. By March 45 he had more than 500 missions and I believe that he survived the war.

I posted the same question on another forum and was pointed out to an article that has some more information about the background of this event):

Raids on Belgrade continued for a total of 6 April.1941 and the last of them had already taken place about midnight. Results of the city were dropped 360 tons of bombs of all calibers, including 1,000 kg of SC1000. In Belgrade, affected 47% of all buildings: 714 were completely destroyed in 1888 were seriously damaged, and 6615 - Light (In 1947 the Yugoslav tribunal, former commander of the 4th Air Force General-Oberst Alexander Lehr (Alexander Löhr) was sentenced to death just for the fact that ordered these raids on Belgrade.). The Yugoslav Air Force lost in the battles around Belgrade, 10 destroyers, 15 aircraft have a variety of injuries, lost seven pilots and another seven were injured. The loss amounted to Luftwaffe as 12 aircraft, among which were 4 Ju-87 (Including two Ju-87 from II./StG77: «S2 + BM» Ober-Feldwebel Heinz Ritter (Heinz Ritter) and «S2 + GN» non-commissioned officer Lanneversa Gottfried (Gottfried Lannewers).).
