I would like to have the details of the loss of Bf 109 D WNr 2028 on 10 May 1943, especially pilot name and fate, unit and crash location.

1943-05-10, 3./JG 104, Bf 109D-1, 2928, Fl.Pl. Fürth, Bedienungsfehler bei Landung. Bruch 85 %.
Flugschüler Uffz Sigl, Wilhelm, verletzt

Pleaso note, that 2028 is Bf 1090E-4.

Thanks Matti, for the details and the correction of the WNr.

My original source was the "II./JG 103" loss list available a long time ago on the Net (and now no more online): AFAIK all losses listed occured on the date in the list but the details, and especially the unit, are often false.
