55th FG victories over 15 training a/c
 

On 5 Sept. 44, 343rd FS (55th FG) claimed 15 "u/i TE and S/E training planes" over Göppingen.
Does anyone know what were the specific types shot down and the unit they came from?

A Bü 131 D and a Bü 181 B was shot down (the pilot of the Bü 131 was wounded), a Bü 181 C made a emergency landing due to enemy fire, at the arifield Böblingen a Bü 131 was damaged, also a Fw 58 and another Fw 58 destroyed due to enemy strafing.
At the airfield Ettinghausen 24 planes (3 DFS 230 gliders 100%, 1 Ju 52 80%,
17 Do 17 E 100% 1 Do 17 E damaged and also a Klemm Kl 35 damaged.
All due to strafing P-38´s.
At the airfield Echterdingen 6 planes (2 100%) also damaged by strafing.

@ khorat,

Göppingen is located east of Stuttgart and Ettingshausen in the area of Gießen. So that latter spot is well too far off from the region concerning the losses in question.
