NJG3 Me 110 crash landing, date needed?
Hi Guys, In my files I have found a picture of a crash landed Bf110 of NJG 3, two aircrew are stood by the machine, namely Uffz. Herbert Platzek & Ofw. Karl Haisch. can anyone supply any further details regarding the aircraft?
Kind regards, Melvin www.aircrewremembrancesociety.com |
Re: NJG3 Me 110 crash landing, date needed?
Hello Melvin,
This Bf110 has an overall black camouflage but no Lichtenstein B/C air-to-air radar yet. That points to a bellylanding somewhere between the founding of the II./NJG 3 and the summer of 1942. Further: if the Vkz is D5+HM (therefore 4./NJG 3), my Bf110 database gives several options but the registered damage % is such, that I doubt that one of these can be linked to this photo. All the best, Marcel |
