FW 190 A5 fored landing in Leeuwergem (Belgium)

Hello
On 13/03/1943 a FW 190 (W.Nr 5865) JG 26 made a forced landing in the vicinity of Leeuwergem (nowadays it's part of the city of Zottegem ).

What was the raison of this forced landing
What was the identity of the pilot (KIA or WIA) ?

Many thanks and greetings on a very rainy day in Zottegem!!!

My notes: Notlandung infolge technischer Mängel. Flugzeugführer unverletzt.

probably JG2

Many thanks and greetings on a very rainy day in Zottegem, really not a lucky guy as for sure in every other places in Europe the sun is blending ...... at least above the thick layer of clouds

Thanks Matti and RT for the quick reaction
I suppose the pilots identity is unknown because the "Flugzeugführer war unverletzt".

And yes, the weather is not very good in Belgium, but that does not mean that I'm 'depressed' : in fact this weather inspires me to reed a book about what happened during WW II, especialy in my region and to visit this site for a few more inquiries

Once again, I which you all the best !!

Hi all,

perhaps someone knows the name of the pilot ?

Complete Werk.Nr. must be 0155865
In number block 0155 845 – 0156 024 (01.1943-06.1943) made by Arado Warnemünde.
