9TH Airforce Mission Tally
 

Is there any way to determine missions flown by a 9th Airforce combat pilot in the ETO who served from July,'44 to the end of April,"45 & earned 13 oak leaf clusters on his air medal? I have tried to make heads or tails of the Air Medal criteria, but it's so convoluted depending on the airforce, the time, & the theater of operations. I have been able to determine 86 missions for my dad but there are two weeks of mission reports missing from the Group's log during July,'44, a very busy time for my dad's squadron. Thanks for any help. Tom
