1/NJG 2 loss
Hello,
Are the names known from the 1/NJG 2 crew who was lost their lives with their Ju 88 during the night from 14 towards 15 july 1944? Thanks in advance |
Re: 1/NJG 2 loss
Hi Stijn,
The two losses sustained on the 14 and 15th July 1944 had no injuries to either of the crews hense no WASt Verlustmeldung has been issued. The only other way would be info from one of the crews Flugbuchs but we dont know who they are? Regards Melvin www.aircrewremembrancesociety.com |

Melvin
shouldn't that read Ju 88G-1 ? I do not see the G-6 variant coming into I./NJG 2 till September of 44. Erich |

Hallo Stijn ,
I don't know if the crew you mentioned was lost over Belgium. I have this one that night : 14/07/1944 Philipville ( Hemptinne ) Belgium , 3 km west from the airfield Ju-88 G-1 Wnr 712336 3./NJG4 Florennes Uffz Holze Herbert ( KIA ) 23/05/1920 Birkholz Buried at Lommel as unknown It seems that the other crewmembers bailed out.
