This PhD dissertation is a great find, Byron. The author's 16-page bibliography contains just about every German language book and article written about the subject up to 2004.

However, if given a choice, I think I might stick with the earlier works on this topic written by the distinguished historian, Dr. Horst Boog, former Referent Luftwaffe at MGFA (Militärgeschichtliche Forschungsamt). Dr. Boog is internationally recognized as the foremost German authority on the Luftwaffe:
