Hartmann Bf109G-6 in Flight

Found this picture in a ilustrated WWII airwar book, had never seen it before. The tulips on the nose are very noticeable.

Hi!

May not be Hartmann...I cannot remember which...but another unit used the tulip design on the nose as well...

The Tulip was used in Graf's unit (JG50) and JG52 as well the first Gruppe commanded by Hartmann's: I/JG53.

There were several planes spread among JG52 and I/JG53 with "Hartmann's" black tulip. These were definitely also used by other pilots, even after he was already in other units.
