Thank you Jarek for posting this Bf109 crash recovery information.

I am sure it is an indication of my advancing age, but I am still unable to view the video even after loading Silverlight.

Does the video show any Motornummer or aircraft Werknummer?

Hi Steve
May soon appear in some new information, pictures, etc. to give a new link.
It is know only that the crash occurred in autumn 1944, the pilot probably just jumped the info from living vitnesses.
Found 2 guns MG 131, (109 G?), not found wings, tail that was taken by German soldiers.Little information , time will show
Best regards
Jarek

Piters is also here, but apparently too infrequently ;)

Something happened and my photos disappeared, I'll try to fix it soon.

I'd like to explain that the archival photos are NOT presenting this Bf 109 we dug at Zabierzów Bocheński, but another one, damaged and belly-landed at Raciechowice, near Dobczyce, 25 kms south of Zabierzów Bocheński, 6.8.1944.
Apart from the exact date, we don't know nothing more about the other Bf 109, too.
In fact, we are desperately looking for something what could help us to identify the units, WNr., pilots etc. for both planes.

The plane at Bulowice was shot by USAAF, not RAF, of course.
