Losses of JG 5 on 25th August 1944

Dear gents,

Can anyone help me with detailed informations about the losses of II./JG 5 on 25th August 1944 ? Especially the cause and place of lost from Ofhr. Joachim Papenschütz 6./JG 5. What was the task of JG 5 this day. Against the 8th USAAF and the Rostock raid ?

Thanks,
Rgds,

The Girbig JG5 book says that Obersltn. Kettner fell in airbattle over Mecklenburg while flying against against US heavy bombers attacking North Germany. It says that Gef. Heubel of 7/5 and OberFahnrich Papenschutz of 6/5 were also shot down, Papenschutz with serious injuries and he died three hours later .
Thats all I could find,

Hi.

Ofhr. Joachim Papenshütz, born 18. June 1924, was shot down in combat near Bad Doberan in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a small town on the Baltic coast.

At the time he was flying Bf 109G-6, WNr 441385, coded 'Schwarze 1' of 6./JG 5 (most probably with a second Gruppe bar making the full code 'Schwarze 1 + -')

The NVM states the following translated from German: 'Seriously wounded in aerial combat - died from his wounds after three hours'

Obstlt. Kurt Kettner, born 21. July 1914, was shot down in combat near Bliesekow, about 8 km southeast of Bad Doberan.

At the time he was flying Bf 109G-14, WNr 413620, coded 'Doppelwinkel' of Stab II./JG 5 (most probably with a second Gruppe bar making the full code 'Schwarze << + -')

The NVM states the following translated from German: 'Killed in aerial combat'

Gefr. Rudolf Heubel, born 19. November 1922, was shot down in combat near Bad Doberan (Raum Bad Doberan as it says in the loss record.

At the time he was flying Bf 109G-6, WNr 163712, coded 'Gelbe 4' of 7./JG 5 (most probably with a second Gruppe bar making the full code Gelbe 4 + -')

The NVM states the following translated from German: 'Missing after aerial combat'
