LW planes lost on 29.sept 1944 while on ground
 

HI all

Can anyone tell me if there are any losses of Luftwaffe a/c recorded for 29. september 1944 in area of Presov (Eperies, Preschau)? Airfield in the area should be straffed by soviet aircraft and claimed destruction of 4 Fw 190 (probably schalchtflieger?) 8 Me 109 and 1 Ju 52.

The summary of Luftwaffe losses database built by Andreas Brekken, that is usually covering frontline fighter and SG units, shows only one aircraft destroyed on the ground this day (and none damaged): an aircraft of IV./JG 52 destroyed on the ground by gunfire from enemy aircraft. It was reported on 3 October 1944.

I did not check if this unit was in your area then.

Thanks, I had access to his database, will check if it still works for me. But seems not all were reported or damaged, if at all these claims are reliable.
