Bf 109 G-4 (?) in the USA
 
Hi folks,

I just stumbled on those two color shots of an Bf 109 G exhibited in the USA, probably in the autumn 1943:

Not the easiest angles or framing for recognizing a particular plane. The engine cowling in the second pic is consistent with a G-1 to G-4 model. Note also the white theatre tail band, indicative of a machine captured either in Tunisia, Sicily or Italy.

As a post script, here is a picture of Bf 109 G-2 or G-4 "Weisse 12" 1./JG ?, also taken in the USA, maybe at Eglin Field:
