Bf 109 G-4 (?) in the USA
Hi folks,
I just stumbled on those two color shots of an Bf 109 G exhibited in the USA, probably in the autumn 1943: http://www.ww2color.com/search/webap...mary_key=10765 http://www.ww2color.com/search/webap...mary_key=10766 Not the easiest angles or framing for recognizing a particular plane. The engine cowling in the second pic is consistent with a G-1 to G-4 model. Note also the white theatre tail band, indicative of a machine captured either in Tunisia, Sicily or Italy.
