Air Torpedo Attacks 1939-1942

I'm reviewing the effectiveness of air torpedo attacks in these yers. Have collected information on attacks by the British Swordfish aircraft but no others. Mostly I am looking for leads on when and where these torpedo attacks occured. Any refrences, dates, units, targets, or other information that will help me track this down is most welcome. Info about obscure &little published attacks are particularly sought.

Any discussion on this is most welcome as well

Thanks

Thanks. I'd forgotten about any torpedos in that attack. The bomber hits dominated the descriptions I've read.

Anyone know of any books or magazine articles that focus on air torpedo attacks?

PoW and Repulse were definitely sunk by torpedo bombers, neither of the couple bomb hits penerated the armoured decks of the ships.

There are plenty of books on British torpedo attacks, Ralph? Baker wrote a book on CC torpedo pilots in 50s or early 60s, Nesbit has written at least a couple books on the subject plus numerous magazine articles etc.

The title of Baker's book is The Ship Busters (1957)
2 other books to consider:

Chris Ashworth's RAF Coastal Command 1936-1969 (1992)
Christina J.M. Goulter's A Forgotten Offensive: Royal Air Force Coastal Command's Anti-Shipping Campaign 1940-1945 (1995)

Thanks for the help. I've got a long reading list now. If anyone recalls a obscure of seldom mentions torpedo attack post the location & date. ie: I'd not known a couple flights of Swordfish attempted a attack @ Dakar Africa & several were shot down by H75 fighter planes.
