Me 262 on eBay
Hi Gents,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-Capture...item337d6d904e ?? Any idea? Note the "X" under horizontal tail plane. http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-Capture...item4abdfa306a Cheers, Franck. |
Re: Me 262 on eBay
One of the JV 44 birds in Salzburg Hötting? The X crudely painted on the lower fin was the distinctive mark telling the plane was not ear-marked for testing and could be disposed off.

Re: Me 262 on eBay
Hi guys, Hi Marc,
Think I got it; WNr.500531 at Hörsching Fl.Pl., INSIDE the hangar with that beautiful curved roof. ... And maybe a Heinkel in background, but without floats :D Regards, Franck. |
Re: Me 262 on eBay
Yes, I had an Austrian Fliegerhorst in mind, too.
I remember a set of photos with a wingless He 111 in the background obviously having undergone repair works... Regards Roland P.S.: Here we go: http://www.luftwaffe-experten.org/fo...531#entry74122 |
Re: Me 262 on eBay
Hello Roland,
Absolutely, one of 500531 pictures shows the He111 fuselage outside of the hangar near by the Me262 put on trolley. And of course the "nose" behind the today's eBay picture is one of a He111. OK, done. Thanks pals! Regards, Franck. |
