April 17 1943 JG2 versus 341 FF squadron

Hi
It's been a very long time since I last visited your outstanding forum... it was in 2010 as I was writting JH Schloesing biography, FF 340 and 341 commander, KIA august 26 1944... some of you may have read it ?!

I'm working hard on another book, regarding 2 other FF pilots : Claude Raoul Duval (still among us) and Philippe Béraud, KIA April 17 1944. Both were shot down by Herbert Gumprecht from JG2, near Rouen.

I already have everything i need to describe this fight from French point of view. And NOTHING to do the same from German point of view.
It is of course the reason why I wish to ask for your help. Does anyone know if JG2 combat reports exist ?

I'd like to be abble to give as much details as possible about Gumprecht unit, airfield, chiefs, aircraft....

Thx a lot for having read that post.... and thank your very much for your help !

Patrick

Surely you mean 17 Apr 43 as in your title) as Ofw Herbert Gumprecht was killed in action with 11/JG 2 on 16 Aug 43 when his Bf 109 G-6, Wk Nr 18806, was shot down NE of Conches. Born 30 Jan 20, he was originally with 8/JG 2 (commanded by Oblt Bruno Stolle). His St Kap with 11/JG 2 would have been Oblt Günther Behrendt (+ 14 Jul 43) then Oblt Georg Schröder
