Can you write something more about hitted aircraft ? I think it could be somewhere in Normandy near Caen - France (1944) ?

No leaves on the tree and a chap in a greatcoat-maybe later than Summer 1944?

Yes Chris, I concur: from the state of the vegetation and the Balkenkreuz type, those shots point rather to another Winter 1944 - 1945 or even "Bodenplatte" kill?

Cheers
Marc

""...Pęskiego commander killed yet Modlin, Colonel. George Levittoux, head
Staff I - ing Armoured Division (Fig. 11). He was sent by General Maczek previously Normandy to establish communication with the command of the Canadian Corps, in the
I had a Polish division. On the road with the Canadian Willys officer

7/18/1944 The funeral of Colonel Levittoux held in Edinburgh and there is located the grave

As you can see the movement of vessels in the channel was a huge, barge ran for
barge and in several rows (Photo 118)
After landing there was a collection of divisions and commanders briefing took place (Fig. 119).
Soon Division Marshal Montgomery visited (Fig. 120). Division became part of the body
Canada. This was a period during which the Allies were trying to break the German defenses
and expand in the first place a foothold in Normandy, near Caen. Germany
gathered here in the form of a strong defense is also armored initial attack Allied
including the Polish armored division did not produce results and the division suffered heavy losses.
German anti-missile guns, especially the famous caliber 88 mm with ease
cast pierced body armor and fighting Shermans have demonstrated superiority in terms of
German armor and weapons of the Allied tanks. Only strong air preparation
and artillery helped to break the German defense and the division began to move
into France, towards the Belgian border. From the period of the struggle there is no picture, probably
Peski did not have the time or the conditions of their making. ...."'
