Loss of two Blenheims off Libya 11 October 41
Hi
The Italian official naval history claims two Blenheims shot down (with one survivor) during an attack on a coastal convoy on the Libyan coast during the day of 11 October 41. Does anyone have specifics (in particular Squadron number), and details from the UK side? The attack was carried out by a flight of three Blenheims, so I expect the surviving crew would have reported back at base what happened. I could not find anything in the new Shores et al 'Mediterrenean Air War' for the day. I haven't checked RAF Bomber Command Losses in the Med yet. Many thanks in advance. All the best Andreas |

Andreas
It is in Shores/Cull/Malizia Malta: The Hurricane Years, but, as Brian adds, the serial number details and complete crew information is in Bomber Losses. Cheers Stig |
