Lothar Sachs (NJG 11) obituary needed

Hi,

I'm looking for information on Lothar Sachs of 3/NJG 11 (& before that 3/JG300?) for a short obituary of aprox' 100 words.

Is there anyone here that could supply some more information on Lothar's life & flying career?

The obituary is needed for the next issue of 'Friends of The Few' , of which I am the Editor, the newsletter of The Shoreham Aircraft Museum (Nr Sevenoaks, Kent, UK, www.shoreham-aircraft-museum.co.uk)

A wartime & or recent photo of Lothar that I could use would be welcome too.

I have tried Googling but couldn't find much useful info.

Cheers

Geoff.

Geoff,

I suggest you contact Jean-Yves Lorant, co-author of the JG 300 History. See "JG 300" thread above.

Dear Mr. Kennel,

Regarding your request about Lothar Sachs's Luftwaffe career with JG 300 & NJG 11 and life, I write today to his widow as I know her very well. She will decide herself... I guess the response will be positive.

All the best

Jean-Yves Lorant
