The loss of two Heinkel 115's ??

While on a sortie into the Bay of Biscay on 11 January 1942, Liberator I AM924 D/120 attacked the German blockade runner ELSA ESSBERGER and the submarine U 373 which was at the time alongside the German ship. Also involved in the action were two HE115 aircraft which fired on the Liberator, which in turn returned fire damaging both enemy aircraft, the HE115's made their escape low over the sea with smoke pouring from at least one of their engines. The action took place in position 4355N, 1015W.

Would it be possible to discover the unit to which the German aircarft belonged and if any HE115's were reported lost due to the action with D/120 on that day?

The only He 115 equipped unit south of Denmark on this date was Küstenfliegerstaffel 2./906 in Brest. However, no losses or serious damage to aircraft or crews were reported for 11.01.42 or around this date.
