Two losses in the desert

Can anyone provide details of an Ofw Schulz from JG 27 who was shot down on or around 19 December 1941 and the circumstances surrounding the downing of Hpt Naumann of 3./StG 3 on or around 27 March 1942.

A bit vague, sorry. That's all I have to go on.

Hi.

With regards to Hptm Naumann he was wounded in action due to a fighter attack.

The aircraft damage was below 10% and thus not reported.

I haven't got the NVM for this incident, so no more details at the moment unfortunately.

Regards,
Andreas B

The only additional info in NVM is location: östlich Tmimi and position of Hptm Naumann: Staffelkapitän. No info on WNr. or code.

Adam

Your Schulz was Oblt Otto Schulz 4./JG 27 who reported he was shot down by an Italian fighter this day, without injury.
I notice that Clive Caldwell claimed a Bf 109 as probable that same day. If any connection that is beyond me.

Cheers
Stig
