As I think this kinda slipped through during the holidays - has anyone a theory about the location of the Fw 190 D-9 and Hs 122 from this thread: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?t=32278 ?

Go to the LEMB and click on Würzburg. You will find more pic's of this D-9.

Hi John,

I closed my LEMB account a while ago - but thanks to you I looked up my own Würzburg photos, and it seems that "White 1" is indeed the Dora from this airfield, only after being relegated to the dump yard. Thanks John! Is the Werknummer of this aircraft known? Or anything about those two Fw 189 which are also in the pics, for that matter?

Addendum: The seller of the photo writes the Werknummer of this Fw 190 D-9 is 400298. Can someone confirm this?

Hello Christian,

Unless my aging eyes are failing me, is not the spinner missing from the first Fw190D-9 in your post #3, and then back in place in the third photo?

Well spotted Steve, you are correct. But I still think both planes are the same. The similarities are just to striking. Perhaps someone decided to be tidy and put the spinner cap back on. Who knows?

Attached is another photo, offered by the same seller in a different auction. Found it just now.
