I think you are mistaken about the first entry, Bf 109 VK+AB. This machine was never afforded a versuch number. It was just the 4th Bf 109 F-0, W.Nr. 5604 with an Emil wing. The real V24 was W.Nr. 1929, D-ITDH, which later carred the stkz CE+BH. I can't recall who was responsible for calling VK+AB the V24, but it could have been Bill Green as far back as the late 60s. |

Thanks Harold for this correction. As stated, all Stkz finds are courtesy of the LEMB Stkz database. Hopefully someone will pick up the huge task of continuing Gogh's work over there...

Just to keep commenting, it was the third Bf 109 F (first was W.Nr. 5602, and second W.Nr. 5603), and the wing wasn't exactly a E-series one: its plantform was similar, but the span, area, ailerons and radiator flaps were the ones originally designed for F-series. It's just missing the elliptical tips that were added for series production.
