Looking for Sgt. Colin WALKER, KIA April 3rd, 1945
Sgt. Colin WALKER was a pilot with the 112. Squadron of RAF. He got KIA on April 3rd, 1945. His remains rest at Klagenfurt war cemetery in grave 5. F. 8. His service number was: 553859.
I would like to learn more about his fate and his mission on that day. Maybe someone knows his next of kin or has pictures or data about him? I am happy for anything I can find out about this loss. Thank you very much for your help! Regards - Kurtl |

A bit of further info on Sgt Walker...
He was from Bishop Auckland in County Durham, and was a former pupil of King James School in the town. He is commemorated on their memorial plaque: http://www.newmp.org.uk/detail.php?contentId=6414 The book 'Shark Squadron' states he joined 112 Sqn nine days before his loss. Regards Simon |
