Looking for some answers for the 15 IAP (4VA)
 

What degree of damage would require a Yak-7B to be sent to PARM 1?

On the 08 May 1943 west of N. Bakanskaya the 15 IAP at 18:00 (Moscow) ran across 20 "Caproni" (what was described in the report). In Mikhail Bykov's book on Soviet aces the aircraft is listed as Henschel Hs 123.

St. Lt. Aleksandr Mikhaylovich Bastrikov claimed three shot down.

Ml. Lt. Alesandr Vasil'evich Losev claimed one.

Ml.Lt. Gorushev claimed one shot down.

So how many Hs 123 are listed lost this day?

Lt Semen Nararovich Samoylov claimed a Bf 109 between the Crimea and Moldovanskaya. The pilot bailed out. It's not from JG 3 so maybe JG 52? It was Samoylov's second victory of the day. His first was a Ju 87 at around 14:00 (Moscow).

The loss by Schl.G.1 was a Hs 129 of 4 Staffel: maybe your Hs 123 is a typo for Hs 129 ?

According to a list of Henschel losses on the Eastern front (coming from http://reibert.info/forum/attachment...3&d=1256542012) no Hs 123 was lost between 28 April and 5 July 1943.

For the JG 52 losses, there is a site called "KTB JG 52" giving more details:

Ltn. Helmut Haberda, Staffelführer der 5. Staffel, wird gegen 13.00 Uhr ca. 5 km westlich von Krymskaja durch russische Flak tödlich abgeschossen. (Bf 109 G-4 Werknr.19 555 “Schwarze 7“.
Uffz. KarI Spreitzer von der 7. Staffel, ist zur freien Jagd gestartet. Etwa gegen 16.35 Uhr hat er ca. 2 km südlich Krymskaja Luftkampf mit zwei russischen Spitfire und ist seitdem vermißt. Bf109 G-2 Werknr.14 036 “Weiße 11“.

Thank you Laurent! Bastrikov was a 22 V & 1 G ace who claimed 6 victories on the 08 May 43. His first and second that day were a Ju 87 and Bf 109 which with no Ju 87 eleminates them for now. His third a Bf 109 is still a mystery with the JG 52 losses for the day. It seems all of his "Caproni" or Hs 123 (even if it was Hs 129 there seems to be no losses) outperformed them and got away. Samoylov's claim to a Bf 109 is still a possible with JG 52. I wish there was a time of loss with Luftwaffe aircraft.

Maybe the biplanes were from Störkampfgruppe Luftwaffenkommando Don (Stab, 1.-4./Störkampfgruppe) which used Ar.66 and He.46 biplanes aside of Fi.156, Fw.58 and W.34. It operated mainly at night, but maybe it was on a transfer flight.
Maybe someone has the losses of this unit, which I have not?

Here is what I have for 17:28-18:10 (Moscow) 15 IAP had 6 Yak-7B covering their troops in the region of Nizhnebakanskaya - Neberdzhayevskaya (which is to the SW of Krymskaya). St. Lt. Aleksandr Mikhaylovich Bastrikov claimed his 6th victory which he stated caught fire and Ml. Lt. Aleksandr Vasil'evich Losev claimed his 2nd victory which was stated to have crashed near Amanad. At 17:48 (Moscow) Lt. Semen Nararovich Samoylov claimed his 2nd victory between Krymskaya and Moldovanskaya. He claimed the pilot bailed out but hit the ground. On the JG 52 site that Laurent provided it states that Uffz Karl Spreitzer 7./JG 52 was shot down in a dogfight with two Russian Spitfires at about 16:35 (Berlin) 2 km south of Krymskaya in Bf 109 Wknr. 14 036. Could it be that Spreitzer survived Bastrikov and Losev to fall victim to Samoylov on the way home?

On the 08 May 1943 a Hs 129 B-2 W.Nr. 0443, 4.(Pz)/Sch.G 1 was destroyed by AAA at Krymskaya. The book Hs 129 Panzerjaeger by Martin Pegg has nothing more on this date. But while checking through www.allaces.ru I found that the 236 IAP had broken up a formation of "Hs 126" preparing to attack Soviet troops (Has to be Hs 129 since it was the same location) but no mention of shooting any down (this was in the morning).
