1944 AUGUST 26 Piper Cub shot down at Nantes
 

Hello
I noted in a letter of the Secretary General of Nantes Town in 1944 the following informations :
" 1944 august 26 : a light aircraft flying in very low speed and in low altitude has been attacked by german flak. After only a few shots the aircraft went vertically to the ground ( in the north west of Nantes) "

Do tou the fate of this aircraft I suppose was a Piper Cub ?
What is the name of crew and do you know the unity in observation over nantes during this period ?
