Air defence of Murmansk 1942
 

Hi guys

The information provided, at my request, regarding air action during the PQ convoys to Russia has been excellent. Thanks to all concerned.

I'm now hoping to find information regarding Russian air defence of the Murmansk area while ships of the various convoys were in residence.

What fighters units were involved, and when? What were the Soviet claims and losses during the defence in 1942? What were German claims and losses during the same period?

I don't know where to start apart from Googling! I have acquired some knowledge this way but am not aware of the overall picture.

Any help appreciated.
