Imperial War Museum closure: research facilities
 

Hi,
Don't be alarmed by the title: IWM in Lambeth is undergoing some 'upgrades' and is closed to the public until about July this year. However, what is not immediately obvious when looking at the website is that research facilities are still available on a restricted basis.

I thought they were simply closed but it turns out the Photo Library premises have been pressed into use as a reading/viewing room for library and sound/vision files ordered in advance. So not exactly 'business as usual' but OK if you know what is needed in advance. It was explained to me clearly that only advance orders were being handled, no chance of adding to your order once you arrive.
