info on Obergefreiten Franz Stammler K.G. 27
 

I have his Honor Goblet and award document as well as some other documents. He served in 3.K.G. Boelcke Nr. 27. I have a photo of him and his aircrew on the back someone hand wrote " mit meiner Besatzung im Srojla (hard to read) zur Meer zum Clrholiung (hard to read) im Mai 1944". From this I know he was still in active service as late as May 1944. I know "zur Meer" means by the sea but I don't know where his group was stationed - perhaps the Adriatic coast? I would apporeciate any help. Thanks Rich
