August 3rd,1944 KG3
Gefr. Georg Gattnar,Gefr. Edmund Weigelt, Ofhn. Friedrich Martin and Ogefr.Rudi Fiedler lost their lives on 3/08/1944 and are presently buried at Lommel German War Cemetery (in Belgium).

The NVN gives that following a fire in the 'Kanzel and Rumpf 'the aircraft attempted an emergeny landing but crashed into e factory(Fabik?) at Kurtryk Belgium while on a 'Feindflug'. He. 111 5K+MR 7/KG 3 8268 crew all killed Ff Obfhr.Friedrich Martin, B Ogefr. Rudolph Fiedler, Bf. Uffz. Arthur Mohr, Bs. Gef. Georg Gatthar, Bs. Gfr. Edmund Weigelt,

Many thanks for your information. Uffz Arthur Mohr is also buried at the Lommel German War Cemetery. Kurtryk is perhaps the town ' Kortrijk '. Best regards Luc |
