According to the EoE Luft Loss DB for May 23, 1940: 2./JG27 Messerschmitt Bf109E-3. Believed damaged in combat No. 253 Squadron Hurricanes near Merville and forced-landed near Hirson attempting to reach Guise 2.15 p.m. Possibly that claimed by F/Lt Clouston.
