Bf109 from water.

Hello,

Who was pilot this Bf109 ?

Small note:

FiveCentsPlease:

"...The last pilot was Luftwaffe ace Wulf- Dietrich Widowitz, who received this plane as a replacement on 23-March-1942. Widowitz belly-landed the aircraft on a frozen lake after being shot down by Soviet pilots in Hurricanes on 4-April-1942. Before the plane broke through the ice and sank, Luftwaffe crews salvaged some items, and the plane was likely hit by small arms fire and possibly larger caliber weapons. Note the traces of paint from when the plane flew in North Africa earlier in service. ..."

really he was (from which unit) ?

BR
