Uffz. Albert Thiel

Hello all,

On 14 August, Uffz. Albert Thiel, pilot of 1./JG 51, was reported missing after an aerial combat in the vicinity of Warka in Poland. Does anybody have the usual loss information about his Bf 109 G-6 (such as its Werknummer, tactical code...etc.)? Also, does anybody know whether he was a relative of RK holder Hptm. Edwin Thiel? Many thanks in advance for any help.

Isn´t there a greater possibility the StKz might be correctly VP+MQ? Maybe a misreading of a partially overpainted letter - tailband or else?
