Fi 156 Storch photo identification (?D+GM)
 

Hello!

Below is one of the rare pre 1944 Luftwaffe aircraft photos found at the Finnish miliatary photo archive - SA-kuva ( http://sa-kuva.fi/ ). The photo archive number is 111573 and it is one of large undated series taken during excursion to amongst others Novgorod. The trip has been made late 1942, possibly September - October. On some photos there is snow so even that is not sure.

Questions: can anyone give the full Stammkennzeichnen? And what is the unit? There is an emblem painted on the cowling. Where would this plane be based/operated late 1942?
