Early career of Uffz Hebert Rollwage or II./JG53
 

Hello,

Is there any evidence that Herbert Rollwage was serving in 4./JG53 during the fall of 1939 or spring of 1940, probably as an Uffz? The Luft Off Career Summary DB and the RK bios all say that he was assigned to 5./JG53 in 1941, but make no reference to a prior service with 4./JG53:

"--1936 entered the Luftwaffe.
--1941 assigned to 5./JG 53.
--04.41 in 5./JG 53."

There is a photo of "White 2" with 4./JG53 from the late, 1939-early 1940 period that sold on eBay about four years ago that claimed the photo showed his a/c. However, so far I've found no confirmation that he was serving with that unit at that time.
