Werftkommando for ME262
 

Hi friends,
are there any information, which Werft Kommandos specialized on ME 262 ? Where did they serve and to which unit were they attached?
I suppose only few Kdo´s were ready for the difficult work in jet-business!

For example I heard of the "Feldwerftabteilung V/50" served in Kaltenkirchen with I./JG7, they even had a "Motorenprüfstand" for the Me262 engines.

No, there is no single source that identifies the specializations of the Werft-Einheiten during the latter part of the war.

But I can tell you that Feldwerft-Abt. V/FWV 50 definitely specialized in the Me 262. On 7 May 1945, 13/FWV 50 was at Holm and 15/FWV 50 was at Schleswig. Holm was a primary base for Me 262 Aufklärungsverbände .

7 May 45: Stab V/FWV 50 with 13/50, 14/50 and 15/50 all in Schleswig-Holstein at Kropp near Schleswig and Hohn near Rendsburg; total strength: 8 officer and Beamte with 282 NCOs and men.
