Missing or killed US fighter pilots on Sep 13, 1944 mission to Merseburg, Germany
 
I am writing a story about the recovery of members of a B-17 crew that was lost on the Sep 13, 1944 mission to Merseburg, Germany. Does anyone have any information, MACRs for Mustang pilots missing or killed that day?

and Search
11 results, discard the 332nd FG entry (15th AF).

Interesting that only Burnett of the 8th AF losses was due to German aircraft. All others flak or mechanical failure (which could have been coolant loss due to flak hit).. don't have the 332FG loss.
