But what about the top photo? |
Re: What airplane type and nationality is this?
The wing, fuselage, landing gear are very much like in the FK 43 and there were re-engined planes around with radial engines. The elevator has the horn balances unlike the FK 43 and the fuselage door does not match, however, there were plenty of hacked Koolhovens and Desoutters around in the late thirties...

Re: What airplane type and nationality is this?
I believe the Finns used Desoutters (licenced built FK41) with Red Cross markings. The FK43 was basically a slightly larger FK41.

Re: What airplane type and nationality is this?
Denes,
My guess would be that this is a Polish LWS-2, The last letter is not clear, however i believe that "PCK" is visible on the upper left wing tip. "PCK" would be short for Polski Czerwony Krzyz (Polish Red Cross). http://www.samolotypolskie.pl/samoloty/1728/126/LWS-2 The above link mentions that the prototype was capture by the Germans in 1939, and its furture loses are unkown. Germans may have given it to the Rumanians, or it may have been evacuaded by the Poles to Rumania... Just guessing. Hope this helps, Aleksander |

Hello Denes,
I believe that this is a Polish LWS-2 from the Polish Red Cross. The last letter is not clear, however I believe that “PCK” is visible on the upper left wing tip. “PCK” would be Polski Czerwony Krzyz (Polish Red Cross). The following link mentions that the prototype was captured by the Germans, but that its further losses are unknown. Perhaps the aircraft in your photo was given to the Rumanians by the Germans, or perhaps the aircraft was evacuated by the Poles to Rumania in 1939… just guessing. http://www.samolotypolskie.pl/samoloty/1728/126/LWS-2 Hope this helps, Aleksander |

Hello Denes,
My guess would be that you have a photo of a Polish Red Cross LWS-2. The last letter is not clear, but I believe that "PCK" is visible on the left wing tip. "PCK" would be "Polski Czerwony Krzyz" or Polish Red Cross. Mieszko |
