The pilot was Unteroffizer Herbert Blochberger who was with 4th Staffel/Fernaufklaerungsgruppe 123. The aircraft was Werke/Nr. 27107 Blue 1 and crashed at Ecretteville-les-Baons, France.

Hello KrisJG3.

First, thank you for posting these most interesting technical data plates.

Regarding your photo #6, if as it appears, it has the Hersteller code “jau,” then it is probably from a Bf109 cooler (oil or coolant?) and was produced by:
Neue Kühler-u. Flugzeugteilefabriken (NKF) Kurt Hodermann GmbH Werk Schlesien (Pelcznica) [PL].

Hello KrisJG3,

#1 is a plate showing the alterations done to the engine. IIRC this was introduced in early 1944 to have this information readily available for the technicans, even if the paperwork for the engine (Lebenslaufakte) was not at hand.

At the top there is something like a header showing three major times of building/overhauling. Following is detailed information. The first row each shows the number of the alteration done ("Änderungsanweisung"), the second row is a marker for the plant doing the alteration and the last row is the time the job was done in M JJ-format. Specialist on engines perhaps can tell us, were and what exactly was changed on this engine.

So this engine is a DB605A1 built in Feb 1943 (?), had a major overhaul with a lot of alterations in Apr 1944 and was last worked on in Sept 1944.
BTW: Isn't this the engine attached to the Bf109 in Australia?

Plate #4 is from a DB605B1, so not from a Bf109 but pres. from a Bf110.

HTH

Carl
