1939 Soviet regimental-level documents for 1939 destroyed?
 

Hello,

Members of the EoE Working Group are trying to get information on the Soviet side of their operations in eastern Poland during Sept., 1939. We've made some useful progress on this "black hole" of information, but it is rumored that Soviet documents at the regimental level for 1939 have been destroyed. I find this hard to believe, but does anyone know the truth of this rumor?

Is there anyone on this board who has good information on Soviet air operations in Poland during Sept., 1939 and who could assist us?

Who can help us with this difficult problem?

More about this see my book "Czerwone gwaizdy - sojusznik czarnych krzyży nad Polską" printed in Poland in IX 2008, "Red Stars – Black Cross's Ally over Poland". Exactly 11 Soviet airmen were killed during operation over Poland in combat and non-combat actions. All thses names of airmen are in my book p. 169.
