Interesting Hurricane Mark

Just wonder from where you have your details regarding P2813?
They don't fit neither Jim Halley's RAF P1000-P9999 monograph nor Peter Cornwell's BoF then and now.

Has anything changed since then or do you base what you say on old information? The aircraft was damaged in combat and when returning to Reims crashed and burned. It does not look very repairable so in spite of that statement by Peter, everything else fits quite well.

According to Peter, Roe was killed in P2812.

Hi Stig,

just an internet search :(

http://www.epibreren.com/ww2/raf/73_squadron.html

I was going to look at BofFT&N when I got home but it seems you answered the question. Still a nice pic.

regards

Indeed Mark

A remarkable photo in my opinion!
When I have the choice between the internet and a book I usually go for the book. In this case the site (which I am not familliar with) has consulted BoF the and now, so I don't know if it is a oversite or totally new information.
If it is, then it does not follow the aircraft's record card.

Cheers
Stig

I suspect the Gladiator is from 615 Sq, being a Mk.II. I thought the Belgian ones were Mk.Is?
