Emblem of EJG 1 on a 'Stick Pin'

Hi

I don't have an image of the EJG 1 emblem so this stick pin looked interesting. Nothing in Carlson and Meyer, or Ketley.....

Can anyone confirm that this is the unit emblem?

TIA
Chris

Re: Emblem of EJG 1 on a 'Stick Pin'

Hi Chris,

from JGr. Ost? Why not; then III./EJG 1?

If it is truly from JGr. Ost, it's the first time I see a pin with so much differences with the emblem painted on machines.
In particular a shield instead of a simple circle.

So, effectively, can we suppose it's EJG 1 (III./EJG 1) emblem???

Good stuff Chris, Thanks.

I would not suppose anything before we se a photo, of a EJG 1 maschine carrying any form for shield. I have never seen it in connection with this unit.

Junker,

I agree with you. I suppose too we are going to wait quite a lot :).

In the mean time, site is presenting a Pin - if not a fake - which has to do with one unit; which one? That's the question.
If not JGr. Ost?

And, forgive me, I have the right - haven't I? - to suppose something in relation with what I know, with what is available.
Doesn't mean I gave an answer, but a positive educated guess.

Last, :D, if you get a photo showing that emblem: How will you know it's EJG 1 ?

Regards, Franck.

Junker is totally correct without a photo of a machine painted with such an emblem, and also a positive original reference to he machine belonging to EJG.1 everything is speculative; whilst Franck may also be correct over it being a fake and it possibly being JGr Ost, however other emblem badges sold by the vendor do seem genuine and it would seem strange that EJG 1 went unrepresented by an emblem.... :-)

Hi Guys,

1/ It's possible, too, that EJG 1 actually HAD an emblem but NEVER wore it on planes. In that case no photos, never, ever and no evidence to expect ... well, if I follow the way you both expect such proof.

2/ My first thought is that pin is just JGr. Ost "stylised" pin... Nothing to do with EJG 1 so far.

For the rest, I don't know.

Regards, Franck.
