Hptm Eberhard Peukert
Can anyone confirm this officer was St Kap of 1/906 in early 1942 and that he transferred to be St Kap of 8/KG 26 (and was lost 6 Nov 43)

Re: Hptm Eberhard Peukert
Chris the book 'Achtung Torpedos Los' gives that Hpt. Peukert was St.Kap. of 8/KG 26 from 10-9-1943 to 6-11-43.The loss lists show him and his crew as missing on 6th. Nov 1943 on 'Seezielgebiet Mittelmeer',

Re: Hptm Eberhard Peukert
Thanks Brian. I have this but I am trying to confirm if he was St Kap with 1/906 beforehand

Re: Hptm Eberhard Peukert
I believe 1/906 was re-designated 8/KG26 on 13Jul43 so if Peukert was St.Kap. 1/906 before the re-designation he should have been St.Kap. 8/KG26 from 13Jul43. If he bacame St.Kap. 8/KG26 on 10Sep43 I can only presume that he didn't serve continuously with 1/906 until it was re-designated 8/KG26.RegardsAndy Fletcher

Re: Hptm Eberhard Peukert
Andy: Thanks for this. The disbandment/reforming and disbandments of maritime units is confusing but I agree with what you say. I also have a Hptm Herwartz flying with 1/906 mid-42 but can find no fate for him
