Re: Morane Saulnier
Joel,
It certainly looks like a pre WW2 aircraft but you did not say when and where the photo was taken or even which war. Some parts look like they are from a Moraine Saulnier MS 181 |
Re: Morane Saulnier
Hello Larry,
I will check on where the unit is dropped. Thank you. |
Re: Morane Saulnier
Bonjour,
It's probably a MS 230 Et2 look at the top of rudder, on the MS 181 it was straight and horizontal and rounded with trailing edge. here it rise and rounded with trailing edge. In the white of rudder perhaps it is "0" of 230 and "E" of Et2. The elevator was balanced (not on MS 181) il y a de forte chance qu'il s'agisse d'un MS 230 Et 2 en agrandissant l'image, on distingue dans le blanc du drapeau le "0" de 230, et le "E" de Et 2, et l'extrémité du stabilisateur horizontal montre que la gouverne de profondeur avait un bec de compensation(inexistant sur MS 181), si on regarde aussi le haut du gouvernail, la courbe monte avant l'arrondi qui mène au bord de fuite. Celui du 181 a son bord supérieur horizontal. Cordialement Waroff |
Re: Morane Saulnier
Hello Waroff,
Thank you for your information that confirms what I thought! It was a device before the Second World War. Regards Joël Bonjour Waroff, Merci pour vos renseignements qui confirme ce que je pensais! C'était un appareil d'avant la deuxième guerre mondiale. Amicalement Joêl |
